“We continue the extremely difficult stage of defense of the Pokrovsko-Mirnograd agglomeration. […] The fight continues. Ukrainian units continue to hold the northern part of Pokrovsk,” he wrote.
According to Syrsky, the Ukrainian military is blocking enemy attempts to accumulate assault infantry groups in the area of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd and advance bypassing these settlements. Directly in the cities, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold designated areas, the report says.
Syrsky emphasized that the occupiers do not take into account the loss of manpower; on the contrary, Ukrainian commanders take care of preserving the life and health of subordinate personnel.
“To this end, during a meeting with our commanders, we clarified the issues of coordinated use, ensuring the advancement and timely replacement of units that conduct search and assault operations to identify and eliminate the enemy. To ensure the stability of the defense, a number of decisions were made on combat control, interaction and comprehensive support of the forces and means involved. In this context, a special role is played by the organization of additional logistics routes, timely medical evacuation, as well as conducting counter-battery warfare and countering enemy UAV,” summed up the commander-in-chief.
