Within a few hours, Krasnoyarsk traffic police inspectors identified more than 20 drivers driving cars with excessively tinted windows.
The “Tinting” raid took place today in different areas of the city. “Having stopped a tinted car, traffic police inspectors, before issuing an administrative fine, asked the driver to ‘come out of the darkness’ and remove the film,” the traffic police said.
Raid “Tinting” in Krasnoyarsk
Let us remind you that for applying a tint film to the windshield and front side windows of a car that allows less than 70% of the light to pass through, there is a fine of 500 rubles. The violator is also given a written demand obliging him to remove the film covering and not commit the offense again. Otherwise, the punishment becomes more serious: the driver can be fined from 2,000 to 4,000 rubles, or arrested for up to 15 days, or sent to compulsory labor for up to 120 hours.
In total, since the beginning of 2025, more than 8,000 drivers have been fined in Krasnoyarsk for the tinting of their cars that did not comply with GOST.
State traffic inspectors note that excessively tinted windows are especially dangerous during snowfall, at dusk and at night: “When natural visibility is reduced, excessive tinting further restricts the view, preventing the driver from noticing pedestrians, other vehicles and road signs in time. This significantly increases the risk of road accidents.”
