SuperLiga: FC Argeș announces the first transfer of the mercato period

The Belgian midfielder Xian Emmers has signed a contract valid for one and a half years with the FC Argeș team, the Superliga club announced on Tuesday evening, on its official website, writes Agerpres.
This is the first transfer of the mercato period that will start on January 1, 2026, states the club from Trivale.
After starting football at KRC Genk, Xian Emmers was recruited by Inter Milan at the age of 16. In Italy, Emmers shone with the Primavera team, with whom he won the championship (2016-17, 2017-18), Coppa Primavera (2015-16) and Supercoppa Primavera (2017-18).
He debuted in big football at US Cremonese, in Serie B, where he was loaned by Inter Milan. In his first senior season, the Belgian played 20 matches.
After this experience, he was loaned to SK Beveren in the Belgian first division and in the 2020-21 season he went to Almere City in the second division in Holland.
Thanks to his acclaimed performances at Almere, Xian Emmers was transferred in 2021 by Roda JC Kerkrade, for whom he scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 41 matches.
Emmers then arrived at Rapid Bucharest in 2022. In Giulesti, the Belgian quickly established himself. He wore the cherry jersey in 59 matches and scored 5 goals.
In the summer of this year, he left Giulești and went to the United States of America, to Phoenix Rising FC, where he played 17 matches.
Born in Lugano, Switzerland, Emmers represents Belgium on the national stage, having been selected in all junior categories from U16 to U19. Xian Emmers' market share is 250,000 euros, according to the specialist website transfermarkt.com.
He is the son of Marc Emmers, a former Belgian international with 37 caps, participating in two World Cups and winning the Cup Winners' Cup with Mechelen.
