Krasnoyarsk did not make it into the top 25 Russian cities with a high quality of life

Krasnoyarsk took 46th place in the ranking of 50 cities in terms of quality of life. The study was conducted by the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Krasnoyarsk was classified as a city with a fairly high quality of life. Analysts noted the high self-esteem of the residents’ material well-being. The authors named the environmental situation, population outflow, business conditions, the work of public utilities and the condition of roads as the main problems that reduce the quality of life in the city.
The leaders of the rating were Moscow, Sevastopol, Grozny, Sochi and St. Petersburg. To calculate the index, several sources were used: data from sociological surveys, official statistics for cities, as well as other information on salaries, housing prices and other indicators.
Let us add that according to the Ural Meridian news agency, Yekaterinburg took 11th position in the same ranking. The capital of the Urals was named the city with the greatest accessibility of cultural values and opportunities for self-realization.
Among the Siberian cities above Krasnoyarsk are Novosibirsk (24th place) and Tomsk (39th place). Irkutsk, Omsk, Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk were classified as cities where efforts are needed to improve the quality of life.
