On June 4, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Moscow Innovation Cluster and the T1 IT Holding entered into an agreement on joint work to develop technological entrepreneurship and innovation.
The partnership will help build systemic support for innovation in the capital, creating a clear tool for working with IT startups. In turn, business and the government will have access to an objective search service for the most promising and dynamic IT projects in Russia.
As part of the agreement, digital consulting experts from the T1 IT holding will offer a methodology for assessing startups. When analyzing projects, criteria such as the technological novelty of the solution, the potential for its scaling and growth in the number of users, revenue forecasts, team size and confirmed partnerships will be assessed. This selection methodology is based on the expertise of the T1 IT holding in the field of creating its own IT solutions and also includes the experience of the corporate accelerator “T1. Founder”, which acts to support the internal entrepreneurship of the holding’s employees.
“Today, a significant part of MIC participants are engaged in developments in the IT sector. One of our main tasks as a development institution is to create conditions and infrastructure for IT companies. Partnership with T1 opens up new opportunities for accelerated innovation. Startups and technology businesses will have a real opportunity to test their developments and technologies on the site of one of the largest market players, as well as receive working services for both startups and large businesses,” shared Alexey Parabuchev, General Director of the Moscow Innovation Cluster.
The partnership between the T1 IT holding and the Moscow Innovation Cluster Foundation provides for the implementation of joint programs to support innovative development and the creation of technology startups, as well as holding events in the field of technology and innovation.
“The Russian IT market is entering a new phase – if two years ago businesses invested in IT with the aim of rapid import substitution, now the priority is measurable results, clear economics of implementation and the compatibility of IT solutions with the long-term strategy of companies. Therefore, the main factor in the success of domestic vendors today is not only the speed of bringing products to the market, but the ability to calculate in advance their real competitiveness and market demand in Russia and the world,” said Dmitry Rusakov, director of government relations at T1 IT holding.
