“I don't know if he will be a coach again”

The former captain of the Romanian national team, Răzvan Raț (44 years old, was present on Tuesday evening at the release of Adrian Mutu's documentary. He said, more jokingly, more seriously, that there are still many details from the life of the “Brilliant” that will not be revealed in this film either, he only had words of praise for the former attacker, appreciating especially how he came back after the doping scandal in which he was involved.
Raț also resumed an idea he had in the past, claiming that he would never have believed that Mutu would become a coach and that he would have been willing to bet an apartment that he would not take the path of coaching after the end of his playing career.
Currently, Mutu is free of contract and even on Tuesday there was discussion about the option for him to take over Hermannstadt, after Măldărășanu's departure. If he agreed with the Sibiu, Adrian Mutu would take over the sixth team from Romania, after the adventures of FC Voluntari, FCU Craiova, Rapid, CFR Cluj and Petrolul Ploiești.
In 2023, Mutu coached Neftci Baku, and in the period 2020-2021 he was the selector of the Romanian U21 national team.

“I don't see him as an actor, let's face it, I told him, he has four one-hour episodes, not even Michael Jackson had that many. It's hard for me to believe that I don't know something about him and that I would learn from the movie. Of course there are things that I know that are not in the movie and you won't find out either.
I don't know if I've stated it, but I appreciate him, beyond the fact that we've known each other since we were 18. I appreciate him, he has great merit, he came back from where not many recover. Even if I know who Adi Mutu is inside or behind the perception that the outside world has, it proved to me once again that that strength of character, that strength to come back from an extreme, extremely complicated moment, colors Adi Mutu.
I think everything about his character and his mental strength is something that is hard to come by.
I would like to see him on the bench training again, but I don't know if it will happen again. It's interesting to see. He surprised me because he became a coach, I never believed! During my career, if someone made me a bet, I bet a flat, I was one hundred percent convinced that he didn't like it.
I talked a lot with him. In my opinion, he sees things correctly as a coach, he sees them as a good coach should see them. He's had the experiences he's had, he's on hiatus. His phone is definitely ringing, next you have to weigh the offers and see if they are worth the effort. If not, they might have things that are a priority,” said Răzvan Raț, at the event on Tuesday evening.
I think everything about his character and his mental strength is something that is hard to come by. It's like the Ballon d'Or, there are subjective things, it's hard to say to put it in one place.
If you look from the point of view of trophies, he is not the best, but from the point of view of individual goals, he is probably top 3 in the history of Romania. I don't think it's fair to put him in one place
