“Europe is putting forward proposals for a peace plan for Ukraine that are unacceptable to Russia,” he said. “European countries are outraged that they have been, so to speak, excluded from the negotiations [w sprawie Ukrainy]. However, I want to emphasize that no one has ruled them out. They excluded themselves” – he explained.

Because they accepted the idea of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia and apparently they still live in these illusions, even though they understand that it has long since passed, that it could not have happened. They then adopted wishful thinking, but they cannot admit it to themselves, they do not want to – Putin emphasized.

During his speech, the Russian leader also referred to the country's economic situation. He drew attention to the record low unemployment rate, which according to him is currently 2.2%.
