What a former speech writer of Putin says about today's meeting: he is a gift from heaven, but he should not be wasted. Otherwise, Russia's night could be really dark

“I will surprise you, but at least once I am not pessimistic. Donald Trump is able to defeat Vladimir Putin's stubbornness. With his characteristic mix of threats and lingers, he will try to convince the Russian president” not to disappoint a friend “and thus to stop the war. Della Sera, taken over by Rador Radio Romania.
There are days of intense work for all those we call experts, analysts or, sometimes, well -informed observers in the last four years, be it loyal to the Kremlin, or exiled opponents. Applications for interviews, especially from the American press, offers to write articles, requests for simple statements – all symptoms of the frenzy of August triggered after the announcement of Friday in Alaska.
Abbas Galliamov belongs to the second category. At just 53 years old, he is proud of a personal history that partially overlaps with that of his country of origin.
At the beginning of the 2000s, he was a press secretary and spokesman for the Liberal Party “Right Forces”, founded by Egor Gaidar, Boris Nemțov and Anatoli Ciubai, who should have been an alternative to Putusism, but failed lamentably due to the betrayals and certain of his main protagonists.
From 2008 to 2010, he was a speech editor for the Prime Minister, Putin. Then he returned to the Republic of Bashkortostan, where he had begun his political career, as deputy chief of the Presidential Administration. Then he dissociated and organized several election campaigns for Democratic candidates. At the beginning of 2022, he was declared a foreign agent and emigrated to Israel.
“No result would be too big a failure for both sides.”
His opinions are almost always stinging, often shaped by the expectations of the Russian diaspora that follows him intensely on his social channels. But in this case, Galliamov feels that he is the witness of a possible turning point, no matter how partial.
“I think the summit of tomorrow will not lead to a complete stop of the fights. Rather, it will be limited to what they call an air armistice. I do not know if it will target the front line, but it may not agree to not be drawn on the rear areas of the other. But I do not think there will be no result. Steve Witkoff in Kremlin, something worthy of being validated by the personal meeting of the presidents, would not have taken place, ”he explained.
Putin remains without resources and he realizes that
Galliamov also challenges the hypothesis that Putin is already designated, no matter what happens:
“Russia still has a reserve of resistance, but it is no longer as substantial. If Trump begins to press seriously, Russia might face what Iran is already experiencing: a country flooded with oil and gas, but crying for the lack of electricity. Putin is not yet sprouted and can certainly resist. Make certain changes; negotiations ”.
Trump's position is different, at least at first.
“He can afford to tell Putin an undeniable truth: I offer you wonderful conditions, to know that no one else will. Biden wanted Russian president to be judged at the Hague Court and to do prison? Russia It could be really dark, “Calliamov said.
