In Abakan, on December 1, a warm tent-dining room opened for those who were left without a roof over their heads, the government of Khakassia reports.
The winter canteen for the homeless is located near the central market, at: st. Promyshlennaya, 25, right behind the Sayany shopping complex. It is equipped with electricity, tables, benches, stove heating and a dry closet. In a spacious tent you can warm up and eat, receive primary medical care, and also solve pressing problems with clothing and documents.
Representatives of the Abakan Diocese will feed those in need every day from 10:00 to 12:00. Hot meals are supplied by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Khakassia. Standard portion that everyone receives: 500 gr. hot soup in disposable containers, bread and tea.
In addition, citizens can bring essentials and household items to the tent – they will be given to those who need them.
Every day up to 70 people come to the canteen. The canteen will remain open until spring.
