CSM Olimpia Satu Mare, the “red lantern” in League 2, issued an official statement revealing that the club's main financiers have withdrawn their financial support.

“The management of CS SC Olimpia MCMXXI informs that, starting last week, before the match with SCM Zalău, the main financiers of the club have fully withdrawn their financial support, this decision generating a critical situation for the club.

Currently, CS SC Olimpia MCMXXI is facing the impossibility of organizing the next two games scheduled in the competitive calendar and, at the same time, with major difficulties regarding the continuation of the championship. The club's objective remains to play the last two matches of the year and to identify, afterwards, the necessary solutions to be able to complete the season.

Given the experience of previous years, the probability of attracting a new investor in a short time is low. In this context, it is essential to quickly find a financial source to enable the trip to Turda.

If this objective cannot be met, the club will have to notify the Federation of the club's inability to play this game.

Unfortunately, two consecutive no-shows attract automatic relegationand our approach aims to prevent such a situation and obtain a window of about two months to find viable alternatives.

CS SC Olimpia MCMXXI will continue to make every effort to maintain the sports activity and to protect the club's interests”, the official statement issued by the club states.
