52.7 percent Poles against Ukraine membership in NATO


“As many as 59 percent of the ruling camp voters support support for Kiev (29 percent are against), while the greatest opposition is expressed by PiS, confederation and together – as many as 74 percent of indications” – says “Rzeczpospolita”.
In the group of opponents of Ukraine's accession to the alliance, men (64 percent), people aged 50 (61 percent), village residents (62 percent) and those with basic or professional education (71 %) predominate. “They are people who usually derive information from TVP (68 %) and TV Republika (65 %), have right -wing (70 percent) views and in the vast majority assess the situation of their household as bad (91 percent)” – we read in the diary.
“Rzeczpospolita” also notes that skepticism against Ukraine membership in NATO is growing. In August 2023, 47.7 percent respondents opposed this solution, while there were 40 percent.
The IBRIS study was conducted by the CATI method on August 29-30, 2025 at a sample of 1069 adult Poles.
