Law enforcement officers noted that they received a message about the emergency situation at about 1.40.
“As a result of the explosion, the ceiling between the fifth and sixth floors was destroyed, the windows of the balcony and apartment were broken. The bodies of two victims were found at the scene – a man born in 1999 and a woman born in 1991. According to the preliminary conclusion of experts, the gas-air mixture exploded,” the release says.
A pre-trial investigation into the explosion has been launched. All circumstances of the tragedy are being established.
The State Emergency Service of Kharkov on YouTube showed the consequences of the explosion and how they cleared the rubble.
According to rescuers, 49 people and 13 pieces of special equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences.
