More than a dozen were injured, including children. Multi-storey and private buildings were damaged in several areas of the capital:
- in Shevchenkovsky – there was a fire in a 14-story building, there was a casualty;
- in Solomenskoye – 25 and 17-story buildings were damaged, the facade was destroyed, there were two victims;
- in Svyatoshinsky – a 3-story building was hit, one person died, a child was saved;
- in Dneprovsky – the 6th-7th floor of a ten-story residential building was destroyed, three people were rescued;
- in Darnitsky – a 9-story building was damaged, it was on fire, and a person died there too.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, indicated that 15 people were injured, half of them were hospitalized.
The patrol police warned that on the left bank of the Dnieper in the capital, part of a major highway – the Kharkov highway – was blocked.
In the Kyiv region (in Brovary and Fastov) three people were wounded. It was reported that Fastov was without power.
