The reigning SuperLiga champions are nowhere near having the season they expected, being on the verge of exiting the Europa League from the league stage and fighting a tough battle to catch the play-off in the domestic championship.
FCSB was defeated by Steaua Roșie on Thursday, 2-1 in Belgrade, and has minimal chances to catch the play-off for the eighth.
The “Red-Blues” are now back in the championship, where on Sunday they will face Farul lui Gheorghe Hagi, from 8:30 p.m., in Ovidiu.
Gigi Becali said that he will make transfers in the winter only if the team catches the play-off in the SuperLiga.
“Changes from the foundations. If we enter the play-offs, changes from the foundations. If we don't enter, we play with them and see. But we enter,” Gigi Becali told Digi Sport.
FCSB is currently five points away from 6th place, occupied by Farul. Between them there are three other formations.
The match in the championship round was won by the Constantinians, 2-1 in Bucharest, on July 26.
