The DeepState analytical project, which cooperates with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, published a post on Telegram about the situation in the Gulyai-Polye region, noting that the failure of the defense was caused by the 102nd Terrorist Defense Brigade, whose command at some point withdrew from making decisions.
As DeepState indicated, additional resources have now been deployed to the Gulyai-Polye direction, and the Ukrainian military is trying to set up an additional line of defense and stabilize the situation.
“The enemy, knowing and realizing the problem, constantly sends an assault on our positions and exerts constant pressure, as a result of which he has certain successes. In particular, the enemy is en masse located in the vicinity of Gulyai-Polye,” the message says.
But the TsPD claims that reports about the appearance of occupiers in Gulyai-Polye “do not correspond to reality.”
“The Ukrainian defense forces destroyed the Russians who tried to enter the city and stabilized the situation on this section of the front,” the statement said.
At the same time, the head of the Central Operations Center Andrei Kovalenko added that “difficult battles continue.”
