Radosław Sikorski was asked whether he had information that President Karol Nawrocki and his associates were trying to influence US President Donald Trump in connection with his actions regarding Russia and Ukraine. This is a peace plan that is still at the negotiation stage.
– I don't know anything about it, which is a pity. I have now encouraged Mr. President to change and try to change the position of Orban, who will probably be in Moscow tomorrow, because he is the one who is blocking the payment of money to the Polish Army. He blocks some sanctions on Russia. And I would also like to encourage you to contact us, as he (President Nawrocki) said in Washington that he had influence on President Trump, Sikorski replied.

But today it has been relegated to normal diplomacy, Sikorski replied. He also added that there is a possibility that the draft plan was not written by Americans. “This may not have been their original text,” he noted.

Sikorski also assured that nothing about Poland included in the plan would be made without the knowledge of its authorities and their consent. — Of course, Poland will not feel obliged by any suggestions that have not been agreed with us. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also assessed that Russia's war with Ukraine will end only when Russian leader Vladimir Putin comes to the conclusion that “he is unable to achieve his goals at an acceptable price.” – In my opinion, it is not at that point yet, but I hope I am wrong – added Sikorski.
