The Social Housing Society (TBS) in Ciechanów put into use 100 apartments in two newly built blocks. The tenants have already received the keys. In 2026, the company plans to complete the construction of another 78 apartments and start the construction of another 32 – informed the Ciechanów City Hall.

As calculated by the president of TBS Ciechanów, Karol Makijonko, quoted in the local government's announcement, the construction of 100 apartments in two semi-detached multi-family buildings cost PLN 32 million, of which PLN 11.6 million came from the Subsidies Fund of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, and PLN 2.9 million from the government funding from the Housing Development Fund.

Two blocks of flats with an area of ​​35 to 64 square meters, whose tenants have already received the keys, were built at ul. Greater Poland insurgents. “In the future, we will be looking for more properties where it will be possible to carry out this type of investment,” announced the president of TBS Ciechanów. He also emphasized that the recently completed investment includes new multi-family buildings built by the company.

“Investing in the development of social housing means increasing the number of modern and attractive apartments in Ciechanów. We are building them for people who do not have creditworthiness, but at the same time have a stable income,” emphasized the city's mayor, Krzysztof Kosiński. He noted that in 2026, another 78 TBS Ciechanów apartments will be put into use – their construction is currently being finalized and the construction of another 32 will begin – in this case, the recruitment for those interested in these premises is to be announced in the middle of next year.

As the Ciechanów local government recalled, the formula for housing in social housing assumes that tenants do not have to take out “expensive commercial loans” and participate in the construction costs at the level of approximately 20%. value of the premises, while the monthly rent for the apartment, in addition to standard fees and utility costs, also includes the loan and interest, and “after 15 years it will be possible to obtain ownership.”

According to the Ciechanów City Hall, the applications of those interested in the apartments of the local TBS to conclude a lease agreement were assessed based on priority criteria, where it was “absolutely required” that no person from the household was the owner of a single-family residential building or a residential premises, and that he or she was not entitled to a cooperative ownership right to the premises, the subject of which was or is a residential premises or a single-family house.
