Benefits for SVO participants are being expanded in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

At the Committee on Natural Resources and Ecology of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, two bills were considered in the second reading, expanding measures to support participants in a special military operation and their families.

Plots on state and municipally owned lands are allocated to combat veterans awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation or awarded orders, as well as their families from the spring of 2024. To receive them, you must confirm your residence in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This can be done using a passport, but in some cases, for objective reasons, SVO participants do not have registration at their place of residence.

The regional prosecutor's office proposed that parliament approve a list of other supporting documents. Chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources and Ecology Vitaly Drozdov: “Now the law says that you can confirm the fact of residence, if not with a passport, then with another document, but it is not specified which one. All this makes life difficult for both participants and their families; That’s why the amendment was made.”

In the law, deputies indicated that this can be done with the help of a work book, a certificate of registration at the place of residence, a court decision, as well as a military registration document, employer or tax information. This will simplify the procedure for obtaining a free plot of land.

The second law expands the benefit for timber harvesting. Since 2023, SVO participants have the right to purchase timber for the construction of houses and heating on plots for individual housing construction at a price reduced by almost 10 times. Now the benefit will also apply to construction on garden plots.

Both documents were adopted in the first reading – in June and November 2025, respectively. A final review is scheduled for early December.
