In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 14-year-old resident of Norilsk became a defendant in a criminal case for knowingly false reporting of an act of terrorism. in relation to a social infrastructure facility.
It was established that the boy sent an email to his school about the presence of dangerous objects there. When emergency services examined the building and surrounding area, the threat was not confirmed.
“The police found the sender – he turned out to be an 8th grade student. He said that he just decided to joke,” the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
According to Part 2 of Art. 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, a teenager can be punished a fine in the amount of 500 to 700 thousand rubles, or imprisonment for a term of 3 to 5 years.
