On Friday and Saturday, Călăraşi was not only the hottest place in Romania, but also one of the hottest in Europe. On Saturday, it was +23 ºC in the city in southern Romania, much warmer than in southern Spain and Italy. Normally it should be +9 degrees Celsius in Calarasi.
On Friday it was +22.4 ºC in Călăraşi, and on Saturday morning the minimum was extraordinarily high for the last decade since November (+16.8 C, worthy of a summer morning), ANM maps show.

When it was 22.4 degrees in Călăraşi, it was only +3 ºC in Vienna, 9 ºC in Nice, +16 ºC in Palermo and Seville, and +11 degrees Celsius in Barcelona, according to meteociel.fr data.
Saturday was even warmer in Călăraşi, +23.2 ºC, and in Fetești it was +22.7 ºC. On both days, the coldest was after lunch in Rădăuți (maximum of 5.8 ºC on Friday and only 2.1 ºC on Saturday), according to ANM data.
Also on Saturday, the maximum was +23.1 ºC in Oltenita, a temperature that occurs extremely rarely after November 20 in Romania. Among the European countries, it was warmer than in Romania in Turkey, Cyprus and Greece.

November 2025 has been, so far, warmer than normal, and an example is the fact that in Calarasi there were six days with maximums above 20 degrees Celsius. There were nights with minimums of 13-15 ºC also at weather stations such as Constanța, Mangalia and Sulina.
Calarasi is the place in Romania with the highest November temperatures. Here are four examples:
+30.5 ºC on November 1, 1926
+28.9 ºC on November 5, 2021
+27.7 ºC on November 15, 2010
+27.5 ºC in November 1969
