Donald Trump attacks Ukraine. “They did not express gratitude”

In a long entry, Donald Trump began to repeat his favorite theses: that the war “would never have happened” if he and not Joe Biden had been president.

Then, once again, without a shred of evidence, he tried to argue that the painful defeat to Biden he suffered in 2020 was the result of the presidential election being rigged by – as he put it – “radical left-wing Democrats.”

“I inherited a war that should never have happened, a war in which everyone loses, especially the millions of people who died so needlessly,” Trump wrote. As usual, he did not bring himself to point out that Russia, which attacked Ukraine and is the aggressor in this conflict, is to blame for the war.

Then the US president stated that “Ukraine's leaders have not shown any gratitude for ours [Amerykanów] efforts, and Europe continues to buy oil from Russia.”

“The US is selling huge amounts of weapons to NATO to be transferred to Ukraine (Joe gave everything for free, free, free, including big money),” Trump continued.

“May God bless all those who lost their lives in this human catastrophe,” he concluded.

Trump's controversial peace plan. Negotiations are ongoing

Trump's entry appeared during talks organized in Geneva on the peace plan prepared by the US administration. They were attended by representatives of the informal E3 group: Great Britain, France and Germany, as well as Ukraine, the European Union and the United States.

The 28 points revealed by Axios are extremely unfavorable for Kiev, and if they were implemented, as European politicians and experts point out, Russia would emerge fully victorious from the conflict. According to Trump's ideas, Ukraine is to undertake, among others: not to join NATO, limit the number of troops and give part of the territory to Russia.

After revealing the plan, Zelensky delivered a speech to Ukrainians in which he criticized the proposal. On Friday, Trump announced that he would give the Ukrainian side until Thursday to respond. A day later, however, he declared that the plan was not a “final offer” to end the war.

“The Ukrainian delegation is working today in Geneva, focusing on finding real solutions that will end the war, restore peace and guarantee lasting security. Members of our delegation have already presented short reports on the results of the first meetings and talks. Currently, there is a belief that the American proposals may contain a number of elements based on the Ukrainian perspective and key to Ukrainian national interests. Further work is underway to ensure that all elements are truly effective in achieving the main goal that our nation expects: finally putting an end to the bloodshed. blood and war,” Zelensky wrote on the X platform on Sunday.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine expressed his expectation that the talks on the American peace plan for his country, held on Sunday in Geneva, Switzerland, would bring results. “Everyone expects a positive result,” he said.
