Two Krasnoyarsk applicants entered GITIS after the MTS of listening

The Digital Ecosystem of MTS and the Russian Institute of Theater Arts – GITIS summed up the results of the joint program of entrance tests to the leading theater university in Europe.

Two applicants from Krasnoyarsk, who passed the primary selection “on their native land”, successfully coped with subsequent competitive stages and were enrolled in the university as students.

Finding selection in GITIS was held as part of the MTS Generation M project at the site of the Krasnoyarsk Children's School of Arts No. 8 in April 2025. About a hundred applicants from all over Siberia and the Far East came to the capital of the region, including from Chita, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Kemerovo and Abakan. In the second stage of testing in Moscow, teacher GITIS Marina Orel recommended 9 schoolchildren.

In total, applicants for entering the theater university had to successfully deal with seven tests of testing. Two Krasnoyarsk residents – Arthur Karelin and Adam Kofman – after the successful passage of all stages of selection were enrolled in GITIS as students.

“Participants in the social project“ Generation M ”from the Krasnoyarsk Territory are one of the most talented and recognized at the federal level. For listening and career guidance master class with the teacher, we received a colossal response from the guys, and both these events gathered applicants from all over the region and even neighboring regions. Our wonderful project gives the opportunity for a child from any city and settlement to try his hand at the metropolitan teacher, to understand whether he is ready for a complex process of conquering the creative peak. I am sure that the names of Arthur Karelin and Adam Kofman will still hear when the guys will succeed in a professional field, although they are already winners for us, ”said Sergey Egoshin, director of MTS in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

A graduate of the Krasnoyarsk secondary school No. 152, Arthur Karelin, comprehended theatrical skills from the age of seven, played in the amateur theater “These Children” and listened in Krasnoyarsk with the works of Boris Ryzhekoye, Yevgeny Yevtushenko and Vladimir Vysotsky. According to Arthur, after experience in full -time selection organized by MTS, he also tried to other theater universities, but in the end he chose the workshop of Ivan Popovski, Kirill Pirogov and Galina Tunina GITIS.

“A constant assessment and auditions were difficult – on the one hand, it is excitement and drive, and on the other, it is difficult to compete with people whom you consider to be more talented than yourself. When I found out that I had entered GITIS, I felt joy and relief. I was preparing a lot, and everything was not in vain, I deserved it. The main advice received during admission is to turn off your head. On the stage you need to be free and carry creativity, then it works. In the future, I dream of putting a performance as a director, ”said GITIS student Arthur Karelin.

Another stellar participant in the Generation M project was Adam Kofman, who entered GITIS at the director's faculty (workshop of Sergey Zhenovach). Adam graduated from secondary school No. 149 in Krasnoyarsk. The qualifying tour in the regional capital was one of the first for the applicant, where one could test his forces in real admission to the theater university. As a reading program, the applicant prepared excerpts from the works of Johann Goethe and Anton Chekhov, as well as the fable of Anatoly Kravchenko.

“On the first round, the most remembered excitement and the first attempts to dump it, to tune in to your works. And I remembered the space in which all applicants from nearby cities expect their queue – it was there, unexpectedly for myself, I found the company for preparation, and the guys went with me all the way to fulfill my dream. At first, the tests seemed to me the ninth circle of hell, then it became easier, and in the end it was even fun and great. In the future, I dream of becoming a man who will turn art over – and who will be loved, ”Adam Kofman shared.

This season, the meeting of the teachers of GITIS with the entering as part of the primary selection took full -time in three cities of Russia – Khabarovsk, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk, as well as online on the MTS Link digital platform. In total, in educational events with the teachers of GITIS in the framework of the Generation M project, more than 1,400 people from 71 Russia were attended, nine were enrolled in the leading theater university in Europe as students.
