Ciprian Ciucu stated, on The News Man podcast, that although the candidates keep “a semblance of civilization”, the campaign for the Capital City Hall is a dirty one, especially on social networks. At the invitation of journalist Radu Andrei Tudor, the PNL candidate commented on the qualities and defects of his main opponents in the race for the post of general mayor.

“It's a dirty campaign, unassuming in social media. The candidates maintain a semblance of civilization, that is, the attacks are not very harsh, but the campaign teams come with messes, at least I was the victim of some attacks”, commented Ciprian Ciucu.

Also present at the show, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said that it is important to limit attacks at least between the coalition partners, given that they will have to sit at the same table after the elections.

“For post-election relations, for minimal respect between those who have to sit at a table, attacks should be limited. When you are put in delicate situations, we meet at a table and what we establish is no longer valid. In the evening you are trashed on a television and the next day you meet the same people who behave as if nothing had happened,” said the PNL leader.

Ciprian Ciucu was then invited to say what, in his opinion, are the main quality and the main defect of some counter-candidates. In the case of Daniel Băluță (PSD), Ciucu said that he is “very inventive”, this being both his quality and his defect.

For Cătălin Drula (USR), the answers were: “Very educated/ He doesn't distinguish very well between right and wrong.” La Anca Alexandrescu cited “disappointed populism” as a defect, and for quality he said he had not identified it yet.

When asked to say the same things about Sorin Grindeanu, PSD president, Ciucu replied: “I don't know him that well… If he wants to, he can be constructive. Most of the time, he's not constructive.”

At the same time, the liberal said that he is not disappointed by the support shown by the president Nicușor Dan to Cătălin Drula, estimating that the voters in Bucharest of the former mayor Nicușor Dan will transfer “in a small proportion” to the USR candidate.
