Wizz Air suspends two recently launched routes in Romania

The low-cost Hungarian airline Wizz Air temporarily suspends, from the beginning of 2026, two routes from Sibiu airport, recently launched.

After just a few months of launch, two of the newest routes operated by Wizz Air from Sibiu International Airport will be suspended in the winter season 2026. Checks on the company's website show that tickets can no longer be purchased for the Sibiu – Basel flights between January 9 and March 31, 2026, and the last Sibiu – Frankfurt flight is scheduled for January 9, 2026.
