CFR Cluj beat Rapid Bucharest 3-0, the team at the top of the SuperLiga standings, in a match played on Sunday, in the 17th round.

Rapid had a huge chance in the 34th minute when Petrila sped past Kun and tried to beat Hindrich with a classy finish. The keeper deflected with his fingertips and Sinyan made a last-minute save in front of goal.

CFR Cluj – Rapid Bucharest 3-0

CFR Cluj opened the scoring in the 48th minute, when ribbon took advantage of a misunderstanding between the defenders from Giulești, penetrated and scored. The same Cordea made it 2-0 in the 71st minute, after Aioani wrongly rejected, in front, a shot by Korenica from the edge of the box.

The final score was established in the 77th minute, when Louis Munteanu passed decisively for Koren. The Kosovar scored with an unassisted shot from near the small box.

Thanks to this success, the team coached by Daniel Pancu accumulated 19 points and came 7 lengths behind Farul Constanța, the team in 6th place, the last of the play-offs.

On the other hand, Rapid remains first in the ranking, with 35 points. Giulești can be equaled and surpassed on goal difference by FC Botoșani, if Leo Grozavu's students prevail against Dinamo.
