Rayo now owns 100% of Rațiu's sales rights
Rațiu had been monitored by Atletico Madrid to replace right back Nahuel Molina, who could leave the team at the end of the season.
His contract includes a €25m release clause and Rayo have stressed they will not sell him for less. In addition, the team now owns 100% of the player's rights, having recently acquired the 50% stake previously held by Villarreal for €5 million.
