“My name is Green,” the humanoid robot told Vladimir Putin at an exhibition in Moscow. The interaction between the Russian leader and the machine was broadcast on Russian state television.
Days after the failure to unveil Russia's first humanoid robot with artificial intelligence, which fell just 15 seconds after entering the stage, Putin inspected a dancing humanoid robot on Wednesday at an event organized by Sberbank, Russia's largest bank, according to The Times.
After saying his name was Green, the robot addressed Vladimir Putin: “I'm the first Russian humanoid robot with built-in artificial intelligence. That means I'm not just a program on a screen, but a physical embodiment of technology.”
The machine introduced itself, stating that “over 40 motors and numerous sensors allow me to move smoothly, balance confidently and interact safely with people.”
The robot also told the Kremlin leader that it wanted to show him the new dance and asked a virtual assistant to play his favorite “song”.
“Very nice. Thank you,” said Vladimir Putin, visibly surprised by the dancing robot.
Last week, the Russians unveiled the first Russian AI-powered humanoid robot, AIdol. The machine took the stage accompanied by two operators to the tune of “Gonna Fly Now”, the theme song from the 1976 film Rocky, greeted the audience before taking a few steps, losing its balance and falling.
