Siemoniak pointed to the exceptional efficiency of the services, which quickly established the first facts and took further steps. He recalled that on Monday, four ministers presented the current state of knowledge at a press conference, and a day later the Prime Minister in the Sejm, with the consent of the prosecutor's office, revealed further details. On Wednesday, the secret services commission was informed by the head of the Internal Security Agency about the progress in the case.
The reaction of the services to acts of sabotage on the railways in Poland
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Czesław Mroczek drew attention to the quick actions of the services, which after several dozen hours identified the perpetrators and continued to arrest other people. Mroczek reminded that a special investigative team is working, which includes prosecutors, officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Security Agency.
“The circle of suspects is expanding and the services are reaching better and better conclusions,” he emphasized.
The deputy minister noted that the acts of sabotage are part of the long-standing aggressive policy pursued by the Russian services.

“The aim of such actions is to cause fear, social panic and undermine trust in the authorities and state services,” he added.

The acts of sabotage took place on November 15-17 on the Warsaw – Dorohusk route. In the town of Mika in the Masovian Voivodeship, an explosion of an explosive device destroyed a railway track. In turn, near the Gołąb railway station in the Lublin Voivodeship, a train with 475 passengers had to suddenly brake due to damage to the railway line.
The prosecutor's office initiated an investigation into terrorist acts against the railway infrastructure. Two Ukrainian citizens were charged: 39-year-old Oleksandr K. and 41-year-old Yevheniy I. They are accused of acting for the intelligence of the Russian Federation, including acts of sabotage, causing a threat of disaster in land traffic and using explosives. They face life imprisonment.

The National Prosecutor's Office informed that the men acted together and in consultation with other unidentified persons. On Wednesday, the Belarusian charge d'affaires received a note requesting the extradition of both suspects.
