“Today, with President Zelensky, we have agreed on the forms of cooperation between the Polish and Ukrainian secret services and state railways. The aim will be, among other things, to identify people suspected of collaborating with Russia and to prevent acts of sabotage,” Prime Minister Tusk announced on the 10th.

Two acts of sabotage took place on the Warsaw-Dorohusk route on November 15-17. During the first one, in the town of Mika (Masovian Voivodeship, Garwoliński County), an explosion of an explosive destroyed a railway track. Elsewhere, near the Gołąb railway station (Puławy County, Lublin Voivodeship) on Sunday, a train with 475 passengers had to suddenly brake due to a damaged railway line.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Tusk announced that the acts of sabotage were committed by two Ukrainians cooperating with Russian services, who left Poland through the border crossing in Terespol just after the attempted attack.

The spokesman for the National Prosecutor's Office, Prosecutor Przemysław Nowak, announced on Wednesday that charges had been brought against two Ukrainians suspected of acts of sabotage on the railway. The charges concern committing acts of sabotage of a terrorist nature for the intelligence service of the Russian Federation against the Republic of Poland. (PAP)
