The best Russian rugby player Kirill Gotovtsev was banned from playing in uniform with the Russian flag for the English club Gloucester.
The athlete took to the field wearing a T-shirt with a tricolor patch. After this, he was hit with hate on social networks. The club administration stated that it supports Ukraine and sanctions, and therefore apologized to the fans.
But they still banned putting the flag of their country on their uniforms, and only Gotovtsev, the most successful foreign player on the team, although they declared “non-acceptance of all forms of racism.”
