Deputy Prime Minister, the head of the Ministry of National Defense, in an interview with PAP, referred to the statement of the special US envoy for Ukraine General Keith Kellogg, who said on Tuesday on Fox Business television that among the solutions to the war in Ukraine there is to place European forces west of the Dnieper with the participation of four European countries, including Poland.

“The position is unambiguous – Poland is not planning and will not send soldiers to Ukraine” – emphasized Kosiniak -Kamysz. “From the beginning, we point to our role as a logistics and infrastructure security center for such a mission. (…) Without us, it is not possible to carry it out” – added the deputy prime minister.

He assured that Polish allies meeting at various levels as part of the “Coalitions of Volunteers” supporting Ukraine perfectly understand the role that Poland is to play “. “This role is noticed and appreciated by allies,” said the head of the Ministry of National Defense.

Asked whether this form of statement of the American official can act as an indirect pressure on Poland, the head of the Ministry of National Defense denied. “Neither I nor the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski and others have received any suggestions on this matter,” said Kosiniak -Kamysz.

“I confirm” – wrote on the platform X the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski.

Kellogg presented in an interview with journalist Maria Bartiromo the American plan to negotiate the end of the war in Ukraine, which was to be sent to Ukraine, Russia and European countries. As he said, the US first want to suspend their weapons to move on to the discussion about the territory, the status of the Zaporian Atomic Power Plant and the future of Ukraine in NATO.

“We are also talking about immune forces. And these are the forces of what they call E3, but in fact it is now E4. We are talking about the British, French, as well as Germans, and now basically Poles who would have strength west of the Dnieper, i.e. away from the contact line,” said Kellogg. He added that east of the Dnieper would be placed with peace forces with the participation of “third state”, which would watch over the suspension of weapons.

The presidential advisor stated that talks about the territory would come from the current state of possession, in the case of the US nuclear power plant, they offered help in restoring the object to surgery and energy supply for the entire region “, and as for NATO, Ukraine would not join the alliance” in the near future “. Negotiations would also concern the return of Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia.

“So we have it all quite well planned, this sheet of conditions is quite extensive. We sent it to the Ukrainians, to the Russians, to E3. So we are very, very sure about where we are and what it should look like, what peace should look like,” said Kellogg. He also noted that this is a “starting point” of negotiations and not all points will be approved.

He also admitted that he did not know what attitude to the American proposal Vladimir Putin has. When asked if the US would introduce new sanctions in the case of Russian refusal, Kellogg suggested that they could introduce them to Congress and that these would be the heaviest sanctions that have been introduced so far, including Russian “Shadow Fleet”.

At the same time, he estimated that if Putin, Zelnski and Trump presidents appear on Thursday in Istanbul for conversations, the agreement could be concluded “very quickly”.

Kellogg also drew attention to the initiative demonstrated by European leaders and their recent journey to Kiev. “We saw Tusk from Poland, Merza from Germany, Macron from France and Starmer from Great Britain, who raised the phone and called President Trump and it was a good conversation. So all this begins to move” – he added. (PAP)
