The Justice Fund again for the victims of crime. The department's competition has started

From September 1, applications can already be submitted as part of the Ministry of Justice competition for non -governmental organizations that conduct or want to conduct activities consisting in helping the victims of crime. The ministry allocated PLN 120 million from the Justice Fund for this purpose.


The approval of the competition was one of the first decisions of the new justice minister Waldemar Żurek, who took his position at the end of July. At that time, the head of MS cited in the Ministry's announcement emphasized that this undertaking was prepared by his predecessor as the head of the Ministry of Justice Adam Bodnar.
As part of the competition, non -governmental organizations dealing with issues such as legal, medical assistance or support of victims of crime and their families can receive a total of PLN 120 ml from the Justice Fund managed by MS for their activities.
“We transfer PLN 120 million as part of a new competition, which will finance projects implemented by non -governmental organizations. This is a key moment for the Justice Fund. We want to regain confidence in the fund and show that our activities are transparent and effective,” said Tomasz Gajewski, director of the Funds Department and Free Legal Aid.
MS announced that the financial resources separated for the needs of the competition will be allocated, among others for legal assistance, psychological and material support for the victims of crime, their families and witnesses. As added, the competition includes financing for help centers and local assistance points run in 47 districts throughout the country.
Non -governmental organizations that provide victims of crime to legal, psychological, material and medical support can participate in the competition. Recruitment is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Executive Penal Code and the Regulation of the Minister of Justice regarding the victim aid fund. Details of the competition are available on the websites of the Ministry of Justice. Participation in the competition can be taken by organizations that have not yet used the funds of the Justice Fund, as well as those that have already received such support in the past, provided that they have not violated the rules for spending these funds.
Non -governmental organizations interested in participating in the competition may submit applications from September 1 this year. until 15. September 30 this year. As noted in the announcement, submitting applications is carried out only through the form available in the System of Justice Fund application. After submitting an offer with AFS, it is necessary to print it, sign the authorized persons and deliver to MS. until September 30 this year. until 15.30. It is also possible to submit an electronically signed offer and attachments by ePUAP or edor. In this case, the same date applies.
7 days after the completion of offers, a list of submitted applications will be published, and then the ministry will have 60 days to assess them. The results of the competition will later be published in BIP, and the implementation of the competition and the payment of funds are scheduled for 2026.
The activities of the Justice Fund during PiS rule have been the subject of the National Prosecutor's Office for over a year, as well as the repair actions of the Ministry of Justice. In the assessment of these institutions, irregularities regarding this fund consisted in disposing of multi -million state subsidies in a way unlawful, as well as with the goals of the Fund.
