“Good food, super men.” The woman is suspected of stealing 1 million UAH from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which she spent in Europe

The Fastiv district prosecutor's office informed the woman of suspicion of committing theft on an especially large scale, committed under martial law (Part 5 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to investigators, the serviceman, going to the front and being in a combat zone, gave his bank card to his cohabitant. The man trusted her and asked her to withdraw funds, exchange them for currency and save them for future joint acquisitions – a car and a house, the report says. However, instead, according to the prosecutor's office, the suspect used the money at her own discretion.

“From March 2022 to August 2023, she withdrew more than 1 million UAH from the military account and spent it on vacation in Europe, personal needs and spending time with other men. The man reported this to law enforcement. The victim suffered significant material damage, which has not yet been compensated,” the press service noted.

The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the woman is now being decided, and the pre-trial investigation continues.

A screenshot of correspondence in one of the messengers shows how a woman wrote to the defender that during the year without him she allegedly traveled half of Europe.

“I saw such beauty. I lived in luxury apartments. The sea, oceans, different countries. Good food, super men. What did you see?” – she asked the victim.
