Autumn tillage is the most effective way to combat wintering pests. While the larvae and pupae are preparing for winter, they can be destroyed with a simple and safe means. A solution based on tar and mustard penetrates into the deep layers of the soil, creating a protective barrier until the next season.
Why it works:
- Birch tar repels pests with a pungent odor;
- Mustard suppresses the development of pathogenic microorganisms;
- Laundry soap helps the composition stay in the soil;
- The solution does not harm earthworms and beneficial microflora.
Solution recipe:
- 100 g birch tar;
- 50 g dry mustard;
- 1 tbsp. grated laundry soap;
- 10 liters of warm water.
Directions for use:
- Dissolve soap in warm water
- Add tar and mustard, mix thoroughly
- Water the soil with a watering can and sprayer
- Do not dig up the soil for 3-4 days
After the first treatment, the area literally comes to life: the wireworms and cockchafer larvae disappear without a trace, and the annoying mole cricket stops spoiling the beds. In spring, young shoots confidently stretch towards the sun without the slightest trace of aphids, and the seedlings delight with their strong appearance and lush greenery – as if each plant has received its own shield from pests.
The main advantage: absolute safety for soil microorganisms and the future harvest. Unlike chemicals, the solution does not accumulate in fruits and does not harm earthworms. The versatility of the formula allows you to process any crop: from delicate strawberries to large fruit trees.
