A competency development center for lean production has opened at the Krasnoyarsk Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RNU) of Transneft Western Siberia JSC (a subsidiary of Transneft PJSC).
The center is an educational classroom designed for a group of 20 people. It trains workers in lean manufacturing tools and practices.
The training is based on modern techniques, which include modeling of production situations, case analysis and teamwork. This approach allows you not only to study theory, but also to immediately develop practical skills.
“The opening of the center is not just the launch of a new classroom, it is an investment in our most important capital – our employees. We are creating an environment where every employee can not only master the tools of lean production, but also develop leadership skills, offer their ideas and realize their professional potential for the benefit of the company,” Andrey Tereshchenko, chief engineer of the Krasnoyarsk National Research University, noted at the opening ceremony.
Similar training centers are planned to be opened in all branches of Transneft Western Siberia by the end of January 2026.
Competence development centers for lean production are being launched within the framework of the current Transneft Development System (CPT) – OPTIMUM. Its goals are to form a new corporate culture and achieve economic effect by optimizing production processes. Since the launch of SRT at Transneft Western Siberia JSC, employees have presented more than 340 initiatives, over 50 of which have already been implemented at the enterprise.
