A contractor has been found in Krasnoyarsk to develop a project to renovate the Central Embankment.
The mayor's office said that Krasgorpark signed a contract with the Sib-RSMK company to carry out design estimates for the improvement of the Central embankment. The work is planned to be carried out on the section from the Communal Bridge to the Yenisei Gallery on an area of 27.8 thousand square meters. They should begin in 2026 and end by the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.
The project developer must come up with a visual style, provide for the development of pedestrian space, strengthening the bank, installing ramps and drainage systems.
“Special attention will be paid to engineering communications: designers need to create a power supply system with an underground cable network, street lighting, a video surveillance system, sound notification and wireless Internet,” said Krasgorpark Deputy Director Eduard Smetanin.
The mayor's office noted that when developing the project, they should take into account sanitary pruning of bushes and trees, installation of street furniture, renovation of playgrounds for children, reconstruction of staircases and arrangement of recreational areas.
Funding is provided within the framework of the subprogram “Support for Art and Folk Art” of the municipal program “Development of Culture in the City of Krasnoyarsk”. The work must be completed by March 10, 2026.
Let us add that next year, in preparation for the city’s anniversary, it is planned to begin modernizing previously landscaped public spaces, including Gvardeisky Park and the 400th Anniversary Park, Enthusiasts and Cosmonauts squares, Yaryginskaya embankment, etc.
