The student is in the 8th grade, at the “Nicolae Efrimescu” Secondary School, in Săgeata commune, where the teacher who sent her love messages was, for several years, deputy director, a position held by delegation, according to Şansa News.

“Research aims to clarify the nature of relationships”

The prosecutor's office attached to the Buzău District Court is investigating “in a criminal case pregarding the recruitment of minors for sexual purposes, regarding the relationship between a teacher and a minor student, reobserving the presumption of innocence”.

“At this moment, the investigations are aimed at clarifying the nature of the existing relationship between a teacher and one of the minor students of the school, where he carries out his teaching activity. Next, the judicial bodies proceed to complete the evidence, with the aim of clarifying the factual situation with which they were invested, in order to establish whether the typical conditions are met for holding the investigated person accountable“, stated the first prosecutor Alin Ionuț Atanasie.

The case first came to the attention of the Buzău Municipality Police, notified by the student's mother, after discovering the messages on her daughter's phone.

On November 13, the case came to the attention of the County School Inspectorate.

“The Board of Directors of ISJ Buzău met and decided to dismiss the person in question, because he was a principal, he is the deputy principal at the school in Săgeata, and then we urgently had to dismiss him“, declared for Sansa News, the deputy general inspector of ISJ Buzău, Dan Popescu.

According to the quoted source, the teacher is married and the father of two minor children, and at each evaluation for the management position he obtained the qualification “very good”.

“Someone did something to me”

The management of the school decided to withdraw the former deputy director from the class where the student is studying.

According to the deputy inspector general, Dan Popescu, since the outbreak of the scandal, the teacher has stopped coming to classes, announcing that he went on medical leave.

“Someone staged something for me,” the teacher allegedly told some colleagues.

“Unfortunately, we regret this incident and all I can tell you at this time is that an investigation is underway and the deputy director is on medical leave following a decision to terminate the posting. An investigation is underway by the competent authorities, of which we are not aware“, said Prof. Elena Rusu, director of the “Nicolae Efrimescu” Secondary School.

Another investigation opened by the County School Inspectorate is looking into whether the specific procedures were followed when the students were on break, as well as situations where the respective teacher was left alone with the 8th grade student, inside or outside the school.

The student is currently receiving psychological counseling at school.

We remind you that this same year, in September, a priest from Năvodari, who teaches religion at a high school in Constanța, was accused by several parents of having had conversations with a sexual nature with teenage students. According to the investigators, the 48-year-old man allegedly sent messages and indecent photos to minors, both online and during class.

In August, a 45-year-old man, a religion teacher, was detained by prosecutors after repeatedly having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl, both in buildings in the capital and in Teleorman county.
