In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police officers and the FSB managed to prevent the sale of a large batch of drugs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported.
The traffic police crew stopped a 45-year-old resident of Achinsk, who had been convicted several times before, when he was driving a Toyota Prius at the 631st kilometer along the R-255 Siberia highway. Officers searched the man's backpack and found seven bags of a light-colored powdery substance, a digital scale and packaging material.
The powder was sent for examination, during which it was determined that the detected substance was heroin weighing 751 grams.
“The detainee explained to the operatives that he had taken a wholesale batch of drugs from a cache in the Moscow region, which he was supposed to package for further sale in various regions of the Russian Federation,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “d”, part 4, art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs.” Currently, a resident of Achinsk is in custody.
