In Sweden weakened a strict 100-year restriction on the sale of alcohol

Now small brewery, winery and liquor plants will be able to sell their products directly to customers in limited quantities. Previously, they could sell their products only to specialized state shops, which have already sold alcohol to private customers.

The goal is to stimulate tourism and help manufacturers grow, while maintaining the role of Systembolaget – state -owned alcohol stores – in restricting access to alcohol and damaging public health, the message said.

According to the new rules, distillery will be able to sell bottles of 0.7 liters directly after a paid tour from 10.00 to 20.00. Sales on vineyards and mini-boards will be limited by three liters.

It is noted that micro -enterprises will be able to sell their products only during the Systembolaget, that is, not late in the evening, not on Saturdays and not on Sundays.

The government will reconsider the law on the sale of alcohol the next time in six years.
