In the science city of Koltsovo near Novosibirsk, a 78-year-old pensioner lives in an apartment completely littered with garbage. According to neighbors, the woman occupies only about one square meter of space – where she sleeps and eats.

As the Om1 Novosibirsk portal found out, andThe story began ten years ago, when a pensioner began bringing boards, plywood and other construction debris into the house, explaining that it was the construction of a summer house. Over time, the situation worsened – now even the passage to the bathroom in the apartment is completely blocked.

Neighbors associate the woman's behavior with Plyushkin syndrome – pathological hoarding. According to them, the pensioner was previously diagnosed with schizophrenia. Fire safety is of particular concern to the residents of the building – debris piles create a real fire hazard.

Attempts to solve the problem through the management company and the administration of Koltsovo were unsuccessful. The son of a pensioner living abroad refused to help his mother, saying that she was “an adult woman and should cope on her own.”

The Federal Medical and Biological Agency took charge of the situation. The specialists were able to conduct an initial inspection of the apartment on November 5, but the pensioner did not open the door for a second visit on November 10. The next inspection is scheduled for November 26.

If access to the apartment is blocked again, FMBA plans to go to court to force a solution to the problem.
