The amount of penalties for Russians for failure to pay taxes on time in 2025 has been announced

In Russia, owners of real estate, land and transport who do not pay taxes before December 1, 2025 will be charged daily penalties in the amount of one three hundredth of the current key rate of the Central Bank (approximately 5.5 kopecks for every 100 rubles of debt). This is reported by “RIA Novosti” with reference to data from the Federal Tax Service (FTS).
Tax notifications are available in the “Personal Account” of the Federal Tax Service, the “Taxes of Individuals” application and on the government services portal; only a few receive paper notifications by mail.
If the tax is not paid on time, penalties will begin to accrue from December 2, and within three months the Federal Tax Service may send a demand for payment and begin collection.
Since 2025, the service can collect tax debts from debtors’ bank accounts without a court decision. For non-payment, penalties for the taxpayer are provided up to and including criminal liability.
