A fire broke out, Saturday evening, at a boarding house in the town of Mahmudia, Tulcea county. There were over 30 tourists in the building, but they all managed to evacuate before the firefighters arrived, according to infotulcea.ro. The intervention is ongoing.

ISU Tulcea representatives announced that the call to 112 signaled smoke and flames on the roof of the building, which also includes a restaurant on the ground floor.

“No victims or people stuck in the boarding house were reported”, said the representatives of ISU Tulcea, according to News.ro.

According to infotulcea.ro, when the fire broke out, there were 31 tourists inside the building, respectively 26 adults and 5 minors and 15 employees.

They all managed to self-evacuate until the first fire crews arrived.

There are no registered victims, the administrator of the boarding house, who had small burns on his upper limbs, refused to be transported to the hospital.

It is about the Casa Teo guesthouse, a 4-star guesthouse located in the area of ​​the Danube cliff, according to dobrogeanews.ro.

More than 20 firefighters, four special fire engines, an ambulance and crews from SVSU Mahmudia are participating in the operation.

The fire manifests itself as an open flame on the roof of the accommodation unit, and the crews act to prevent it from spreading to the catering area.
