They achieved the miracle! Rapid is in the EHF European League women's handball group, after an incredible return result

The handball players from Rapid Bucharest qualified for the European League women's handball groups on Saturday evening, after they managed to turn around the shocking result in the round leg and win the second game of the play-off, score 32-21, on the field of Bensheim-Auerbach.
A week ago, in Chiajna, Rapid lost incredibly, score 28-34and the mission was an extremely complicated one, especially since the decisive return was played on foreign soil.
In the EHF European League, the second most valuable competition on the continent, after the Champions League, Romania already has a representative in the group stage, the runner-up Corona Brașov. Now, after the qualification of those from Rapid, it is certain that we have at least two teams in this phase of the competition.

Minaur Baia Mare can also reach the group, but must, in turn, perform a miracle in the return. In the tour, they lost the first leg of the play-off for access to the European League groups in women's handball, score 21-27, away from Horsens. The decisive match takes place on Sunday, November 16, from 18:00.
There is hope, especially after Rapid proved it can be done. Although it started with a handicap of 6 goals after the first duel, the team from Giulesti won the return with 11 goals and advances in the group with 60-55 overall.
Rapid started the match better, and the hosts led only once, at 3-2. Otherwise, throughout the first half, the Romanians took control of the game and produced a comeback.
17-11 was the score at the break, in favor of Rapid, which had managed to equalize the situation overall after the first 30 minutes.
In the second half, the score gained proportions, and Rapid had no way to miss success and qualification in the main phase of the competition.
Group matches in the EHF European League will be played between January 10 and February 22. The top two teams will qualify for the quarterfinals (March 21-29), while the Final Four takes place on May 16-17.
