According to Milovanov, he is leaving his position at Ukroboronprom because of the position of the KSE supervisory board, which “strictly advised him to leave all positions on the supervisory boards of state-owned companies.”
As the ED indicated, on November 22 a meeting of the KSE Supervisory Board will be held, where they will consider the issue of extending Milovanov’s presidency at the Kyiv School of Economics.
Earlier, on November 11, Milovanov announced his decision to resign from the supervisory board of Energoatom amid a corruption scandal at NAEC. He was less than two hours ahead of Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, who in the evening of the same day announced the Cabinet’s decision to terminate the powers of the Supervisory Board of Energoatom.
Context
The government elected the current composition of the Ukroboronprom supervisory board in December 2023. In addition to Milovanov, it includes a member of the supervisory board of Ukrzaliznytsia and former CEO of Iberia Refreshments PepsiCo David Lomjaria, President and CEO of the Arizona Defense Industrial Coalition Lindy Smith, former member of the supervisory board of Ukreximbank and the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Sergei Konovets. Also on the supervisory board was the former prime minister, head of the supervisory board of the NGO “Aerorazvedka” Alexey Goncharuk, but he left his position in November 2025 of his own free will.
Milovanov announced his decision to leave his position on the supervisory board of Ukroboronprom against the background of the Cabinet of Ministers’ instructions to the supervisory boards of the largest state-owned enterprises in Ukraine, including Ukroboronprom, to check the work of executive bodies, and, if violations are detected, to notify the government.
