Motorists from the Krasnoyarsk Territory were reminded of the procedure for replacing driver’s licenses.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminded that as of January 1, 2026, automatic renewal of licenses will cease. Thus, if rights expire in 2026, they must be changed in a timely manner.
“If your driver's license expires in 2025, you do not need to go to the traffic police immediately – such licenses are automatically renewed for three years. This means that you can drive a car with them until 2028 without replacing the document. However, it is worth remembering that such a driver’s license is valid only on the territory of the Russian Federation», — reminded the traffic police.
There is no need to make any additional marks in the document – the renewal occurs automatically.
Previously issued driver's licenses, the validity of which has already been extended for three years, cannot be renewed a second time. They must be replaced in the prescribed manner.
