Grindeanu announces the “Prime Minister's Hour” meeting, rescheduled after the absence of Ilie Bolojan from Parliament. “Clearly it will come”

Sorin Grindeanu, the interim president of PSD, announced on Monday that the “Prime Minister's Hour” meeting will be rescheduled, after Ilie Bolojan did not appear in Parliament, although PSD and AUR had requested his presence. Along with the Prime Minister, the presence of the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, Ionuț Moșteanu and Oana Țoiu, was also requested.

“I asked my cabinet colleagues to get in touch with the prime minister's office to set a date when they could come. Because directly the prime minister, by what means the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is the holder. This is the practice we have. I also requested the presence of the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. These are things that my colleagues asked for in the Permanent Bureau. (…) Clearly, it will come,” said Sorin Grindeanu at the Parliament.

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said on Sunday, November 2, that he received “with interest” the invitation of the PSD and AUR parliamentary groups, but he will not attend the “Prime Minister's Hour” in the Romanian Parliament on Monday, November 3.

PSD and AUR want explanations

The request was submitted to the Permanent Office of the Chamber of Deputies, Thursday, at 2:00 p.m.

The theme of the debate proposed by the PSD is “The withdrawal of American troops from Romania — the Government's lack of reaction and the implications for Romania's strategic and security commitments”.

On Wednesday, the AUR also made a similar request, calling the head of the Executive to the Prime Minister's Hour.
