The Osint project Supernova+ claims that the large Sheskharis oil export terminal, which was likely the target of the attack, is part of the Transneft oil pipeline system, which is responsible for receiving, storing and loading oil at the port of Novorossiysk.
According to Exilenova+, they also arrived from military unit No. 52522. There was an S-400 air defense position on its territory.
Context
Since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine has intensified attacks on oil infrastructure in Russia. The head of Ukrainian state Vladimir Zelensky noted that Ukraine is forced to answerdelivering strikes in response to Russian air attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities.
