Beeline has activated customer protection from going to fraudulent sites

November 14 9:00

The Beeline operator began blocking transitions to dangerous sites to protect customers from phishing attacks – in the mobile network and broadband access network.

The list of malicious resources is updated every day, and blocking occurs immediately.

About 30 thousand sites are neutralized in this way per month – mostly fake pages of marketplaces, popular banks and government agencies.

The list is formed on the basis of data on phishing resources coming from the National Coordination Center for Computer Incidents, the Federal State Budgetary Institution Research Institute Integral, and the Bank of Russia.

Beeline plans to expand the number of sources and increase the reliability of protection in its network.

Anti-phishing works by default for all the operator’s clients – they do not need to connect or activate anything additional.

“Anti-fraud tools are now actively developing, making it more difficult for attackers to break through technological barriers,” notes Ilya Nestor, director of security products and additional services at Beeline. “That’s why they increasingly rely on the human factor and try to achieve their goal through deception and manipulation—through phishing sites that masquerade as trusted resources, but actually steal data.

According to statistics from Kaspersky Lab, in 2024 the number of phishing attacks increased by a quarter year on year. Beeline, as the safest operator, of course, cannot remain aloof from this problem. “Anti-phishing” has been operating in our network since August of this year and already protects tens of thousands of people every day from the loss of data and money. Beeline’s plans are to establish partnerships with leading experts in detecting phishing and improve protection.”
