The authorities in Olt County activated, on Thursday, the Red Intervention Plan, after an explosion followed by a fire at a studio apartment in Balş. Two people suffered burns, and another had a panic attack, according to information cited by News.ro.
Up to this moment, 30 people have been evacuated (25 without medical problems, 5 people with medical assistance). Of the five people, two have burns and three panic attacks.
The representatives of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Olt announced that the firefighters were requested to intervene, on Thursday morning, in an explosion followed by a fire, at a studio apartment located on the third floor of a block in Balş.
“At the level of Olt County, the Red Intervention Plan was activated, with the mobilization of six SMURD crews, two fire trucks, a rescue truck, a CBRN crew (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) and an advanced medical post for interventions in emergency situations,” the firefighters said.
The intervention teams identified two victims, with burns and one person with a panic attack.
At the time of the transmission of this news, the firefighters are acting to extinguish the fire and to evacuate the tenants from the respective block.
