Ilie Dumitrescu named the teams fighting for the title, after the second stage of the play-off

U Cluj, Craiova, Rapid and CFR Cluj are the 4 contenders for winning the championship in the opinion of Ilie Dumitrescu. He excluded FC Argeș and Dinamo from the battle, although he believes that the Pitesti team will be difficult to beat on their own ground.

How the 6 teams fared in the first two play-off stages

U Cluj also won on Saturday evening, in Mioveni, 1-0 against FC Argeș, and has an ideal start to the play-offs, with 6 points in the first two stages. The Transylvanians defeated their fellow citizens from CFR in the opening round, score 2-1. Bergodi's team has 33 points, being tied with Craiova, in first place.

FC Argesdefeated by U on Saturday, remained with 3 points won in the play-off, thanks to the victory against Craiova University in the first stage, score 1-0. Bogdan Andone's team is in 5th place.

University of Craiova won with Dinamo, score 1-0, at the National Arena, and ticked off the first 3 points obtained in the play-off, after the failure with Argeș in the first stage. At the end of the season, the Oltenians would be ahead of any opponent in the event of equal points. With CFR because the Transylvanians benefited from rounding off, with the other 4 because Coelho's team was first in the regular season.

Dinamo has a disastrous start to the play-offs. The “Dogs” lost the first two matches, 2-3 with Rapid and 0-1 with Universitatea Craiova, being in last place, with 26 points, 7 lengths from the leader.

CFR Cluj beat Rapid in Gruia, score 1-0, and won the first 3 points in the play-off. Transylvania lost against their rivals from U Cluj in the first round. Daniel Pancu's team has 30 points and is in 4th place.

Rapid remained with 3 points taken in the play-off, after the failure in Gruia. He defeated Dinamo in the first round, score 3-2. It is in 3rd place, with 31 points, two less than Craiova and U Cluj.
